Elisabetta Manunza speaks at Bioeconomy congress in Lodz about sustainability and public procurement

On 7 October 2019, prof. dr. Elisabetta Manunza spoke at the (Poland) about sustainability and public procurement.

After discussing the fragmentation of the Dutch government agenda on sustainability in public procurement, she stressed the importance of the shift in approaching public procurement law: 鈥渇or a real transition to the bioeconomy, we need a legal solution for the many competing goals - economic and non-economic 鈥揳s introduced with the last generation Public Procurement directives. But this is not enough: a new type of contracting authority (referred to by Manunza as 鈥榮ocial commissioning鈥) and new types of more social oriented economic operators are becoming increasingly necessary.鈥
