Education for professionals: ADS and AI workshops for data scientists in UMCU
Last year the focus area Applied Data Science organized workshops for data scientists working in the UMC Utrecht. These workshops serve to tackle subjects which many of the data scientists in the UMC Utrecht encounter during their work and consist of both a theoretical and hands-on part. There were workshops on Missing Data Analysis (teacher: Gerko Vink), on Longitudinal Data Analysis (teacher: Mirjam Moerbeek) and on Causal Modelling (teacher Oisin Ryan), all teachers working in the Department of Methodology and Statistics of the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences. The workshops where highly appreciated.
These workshops have been made possible by the Digital Health department and are open to all data scientists in the UMCUtrecht who work on data science applications that are used in daily healthcare.
Next year there are more workshops foreseen, starting with a workshop on the topic of Explainable AI (organizers; Floris Bex and Matthieu Brinkhuis, Department of Computing Sciences, Science Faculty).
