Dr. Ilse van Liempt wins Geosciences Lecturer of the Year

On Thursday, May 12, the winners of the Teacher Awards were announced. Dr. Ilse van Liempt, lecturer in Human Geography and Spatial Planning as well as board member of the Focus Area Migration and Societal Change, won the prize Geosciences Lecturer of the Year. The winner receives a cheque of 1,500 euros to spend on work-related expenses such as a study trip or books. The jury chose her as a winner because of her visions on education and degree of educational innovation. What stood out was her broad teaching experience and commitment to her students.
