Dean Susan te Pas will leave position at UCU per July 2025

Prof. Dr. Susan te Pas will be leaving her position as Dean at 木瓜福利影视 College Utrecht (UCU) on 1st July 2025. She will take on a new challenge as Dean of the Faculty of Science at the 木瓜福利影视 of Amsterdam. Te Pas has been Dean at UCU since 2021.

Susan te Pas has always been a vocal defender of academic freedom, diversity and internationalisation. Her dedication and commitment as Dean have significantly contributed to the development of UCU. In recent years, Te Pas has strengthened the connection of UCU with the faculties and Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 and the Executive Board is very grateful for her efforts. 鈥淭here is great appreciation among students and staff for her open attitude and the way she listens to people,鈥 says Rector Magnificus Wilco Hazeleger. 鈥淭hat trait has been essential to all that she has accomplished at UCU.鈥

At the same time, I will also miss Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 very much. I am very proud of what we have achieved here in terms of open science and recognition and rewards. The team spirit I have experienced at UCU is a great example of that.鈥

About Susan te Pas

Susan te Pas is Professor of Cognitive Psychology of Higher Education at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视, and has been Dean of UCU since 2021. She has supervised the Educational Leadership Programme at Eindhoven 木瓜福利影视 of Technology, Radboud 木瓜福利影视 and the EWUU alliance and has held appointments in Oxford and Nijmegen before becoming an assistant professor at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 in 2001. In 2011 she became the first Teaching Fellow of the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. Since 2019 she is a member of the鈥疎ducational Council of the Netherlands.鈥疭he also held positions as vice dean of education in the Faculty of Social Sciences and as interim director of the strategic theme Dynamics of Youth.
