Daniel Oberski appointed as professor in Applied data science in healthcare
The focus area congratulates Daniel Oberski, who was appointed professor in Applied data science in healthcare this summer. His chair is shared jointly between UMCU and the faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences.
Daniel Oberski is an ambassador of our focus area. He is member of the Young Academy of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences, and obtained NWO VENI and VIDI funding. He is task leader of the Social Data Science team at the Dutch national infrastructure for the social sciences, ODISSEI, and quarter master data science for the UMCU strategic theme Circulatory Health. About his research plans he says: 鈥淚 look forward to developing both applications of data science and machine learning, as well as new methodologies useful for the social and health sciences.鈥
