Creating tomorrow together with alumni

Interview series with alumni about their contribution to the world of tomorrow

This year, Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 and UMC Utrecht are celebrating 385 years of science in Utrecht. The theme of this lustrum: Creating tomorrow together. Sounds logical, doesn't it? After all, we can only achieve a better world by joining forces. And our alumni turn out to be particularly good at this. In this lustrum year we will be talking to a number of alumni about how they see the future and with whom they are working extremely hard to reach a better tomorrow.

Collaborating

The alumni we talked with work in a variety of fields. Yet they all have one thing in common. Whether they assist the victims of the Dutch childcare benefits scandal, work on worldwide access to medication, or set up stages for Utrecht amateur artists: they are all working on improving "the world of tomorrow". And they do so by collaborating with others.

Interview series

In the interview series, alumni explain what their wish is for tomorrow, who they work with to achieve this, and what role Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 plays in their mission. All stories can be read on the Alumni about tomorrow website, which will be supplemented with new interviews and videos during the anniversary year. You can also read a selection of the stories in alumni magazine Illuster this year.

Later this year, the stories can be seen in a physical exhibition in Utrecht. Exact dates for this depend on the corona measures and will be available on our website.

Lustrum

Due to the corona measures, the 385th anniversary of our university is going a little differently than usual. Nevertheless, we think it is important to celebrate 385 years of science in Utrecht in an appropriate and safe way with students, alumni, employees and Utrecht residents. Check the anniversary website for an overview of everything we do this year.

Alumni

The UU is proud of all its graduates and therefore invests in involving and connecting alumni with the university and with each other. We do this in various ways: via alumni magazine Illuster, alumni events at home and abroad, and by collaborating with alumni in education and research. More and more alumni are also choosing to follow education again at their alma mater through the Continuing Education program.
