NILOS contributed as a co-organizer to a course on Blue Economy and the Law of the Sea offered to Sri Lankan diplomats at the Clingendael Academy, Netherlands Institute of International Relations in The Hague. The course was convened from 4 to 16 November 2018. Seline Trevisanut, Solène Guggisberg, Erik Molenaar and Alex Oude Elferink lectured on selected topics in the law of the sea, including maritime zones and limits, enforcement at sea, maritime security, dispute settlement, protection of the marine environment, fisheries, navigation, and ocean governance.
