The course is offered by . Together, these four institutions have translated the latest insights from research on nutrition and exercise for patients with cancer into a blended course (online/self-study and a live meeting) for the healthcare provider.

This course offers the latest insights

  • which are not yet widely known to the medical public;
  • that can be translated as far as possible into patient protocols/guidelines, so that the knowledge can have an impact on patients.

What will you learn in this course?

  • You will learn about the latest scientific knowledge on nutrition and exercise and their impact on cancer and the cancer patient.
  • You will learn to turn this knowledge into practical solutions that have a positive effect on the patient's lifestyle.
  • You will learn how to easily transfer the knowledge gained.
  • You learn how to motivate and monitor and take into account the patient's knowledge, attitude and behaviour regarding nutrition and exercise.

For whom is this course?

This course is for nurses, nurse practitioners and practice support nurses. Format and topics

  • The online platform opens on 30 October and is a self-study component without joint online meetings. This platform contains knowledge clips and articles. By reading these and answering the corresponding questions, you will reflect on the healthcare professional's daily practice with the cancer patient.
  • All participants will also have access to a discussion forum.
  • In the physical meeting on the campus of Wageningen ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ & Research, you will make the connection between science and everyday healthcare practice. For this, you can choose from one of three workshops: nutrition, exercise and behaviour.
