Contribute to Lifelong Learning as a lecturer?

Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ is committed to developing educational innovation and wishes to esteem outstanding education as well as good teaching. For this reason, the Executive Board is making available a sum of two million euros per year to support talented members of teaching staff and educational innovations.

This amount is allocated via the Utrecht Education Incentive Fund (USO). This year, three themes have been established based on which the projects will be funded: internationalisation, lifelong learning and interdisciplinarity.

Lifelong Learning

This theme focuses on education that responds to the demand from alumni and other professionals to keep up-to-date over the course of their career with insights from current research and opportunities to apply these insights in professional practice. How can the curricula be designed to support an optimal combination of learning and working? What role does digitisation play in this process? How does the education tie in with the level of expertise of continually developing professionals? How can education help professionals adapt their routines whenever changes in their working environment require it? How can cooperation with social partners be optimised?

For each theme, a consortium will be set up to write a project proposal. Each of the three consortia will submit a project proposal for which they can request a maximum of €250,000. Every UU lecturer can now apply as a consortium member or leader.
