In the magazine

We look back at succesful cooperations in 2022, look forward to the renewed 木瓜福利影视 Museum Utrecht which will open its doors on September 4, 2023, and gain different perspectives on public engagement. We read about the value of connecting art and science, as well as about the value of cooperating with societal partners to reach a more inclusive audience. Prof.dr. James Kennedy, Prof.dr. Mara Yerkes and Nieske Vergunst share their thoughts and ideas about public engagement.

Public and science

We call engaging a broad and diverse audience with academic research public engagement. It is one of the themes of the Open Science Programme of Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. Open Science means: sharing academic results and data and make these usable, also for people outside academia. It also means discussing with them what academic research should be about. It is essential to keep the relationship between academia and society open and democratic.

Please find all projects at and te keep informed about public engagement at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视.
