Carolien Besselink to leave Utrecht 木瓜福利影视
IT Director and CIO Carolien Besselink is leaving Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. In close consultation with the Executive Board, she will be transferring her position to someone else as of 1 July 2020. Until a successor is appointed, her position will be temporarily fulfilled.
Under Besselink's leadership, the IT department has made great strides when it comes to professionalisation. The 木瓜福利影视's IT department is solid, which helps our academic institute function optimally. 'I have achieved much of what I initially wanted to achieve', says Besselink. 'Now I am ready to take the next step. It wasn't an easy decision to make after eight years, because I've always enjoyed my work tremendously and my colleagues in the academic world mean a lot to me. My future successor can look forward to working with a wonderful team in an inspiring environment.'

Carolien has created a fantastic team and realised state-of-the-art IT services, which gained increased visibility over the last six months due to the challenges we faced with regard to cyber security and having to work from home as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. What's more, we greatly appreciate her initiative in setting up the data management and data science team that directly benefits scientific research. We will surely miss her, and wish her the best of luck in her future endeavours.'
