Belonging@UU: Do students feel at home at university?

Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 strives to be a place where all students and staff feel at home, welcome and valued. This is the core objective of the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion programme ().

To find out to what extent students feel at home at the university, the (online) survey Belonging@UU is developed. UU students are asked to fill out the survey between March 23 and April 27, 2022. Also as a lecturer or staff member you can contribute to this project, by drawing attention to the survey within your own faculty, programme, or course.

About the survey

The Belonging@UU questionnaire is used to investigate to what extent students feel at home at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 and whether they can develop themselves optimally here. Does 'feeling at home' at UU contribute to study success? And are there differences between different groups of students and faculties? If it becomes clear in which areas improvements are needed, targeted actions can promote a sense of home among all UU students.

The results of the study will be published in the 2022-2023 academic year. Would you like to be kept informed by email? Sign up for this at Belonging@uu.nl.

How can you contribute?

To draw informed conclusions about students' sense of belonging, it is important that as many students as possible fill out the survey. As a lecturer or staff member, you can:

  • Show this slide: during breaks in education / asking (fellow) lecturers to show this slide during their education.
  • Distribute the flyer inviting students to fill out the survey (e.g., on Blackboard, in an email to students).
  • Share this message as much as possible within your own faculty, programme or course.
