As a token of appreciation, the JSVU annually awards, on behalf of all Utrecht law study associations, the prizes for Teacher and Teacher Talent of the Year from the Department of Law. The prize was created to thank the teachers who make a special contribution to education.

Three teachers were nominated for each category and the students were able to vote via an online form, which was done in large numbers.

The nominees for the Teacher of the Year 2019-2020 were Gabrielle Creemers, Stefan Kulk en Willem Janssen. A teacher is required to have more than five years of educational experience to be eligible for this category.

This year the nominees for the Teaching Talent of the Year 2019-2020 were Manon Julicher, Aart de Vries en . The nominees for this award have less than five years of experience as a teacher.

After all the votes were counted, Aydan Figaroa and Gabrielle Creemers emerged as winners! The JSVU would like to congratulate them on wining the award.
