As a lecturer, be inspired by the Educational Database

Looking for tools to use in your education? It saves time if you use the Educational Database. In this database you can search by teaching formats, among other things.

Organised by learning outcomes

Ina Koning, lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences, recently discovered the Educational Database as an ideal tool for preparing for her teaching. "With the IT department in our faculty, I spoke earlier about digital tools and information for lecturers. There is a lot available within the UU, but it takes (too) much time for an instructor to find the right tool. "Why isn't it organised by learning outcome?", I asked. "That's what teachers start with. And then I want to be able to select within which frameworks I want to use the tools, such as 'online or offline' and 'seminar or lecture' for example. And when I then see an overview of the possible teaching formats that are suitable for this, I can decide more quickly whether this is useful for me". Then I was referred to the Educational Database. It contains teaching formats (Learning activities) that you can select, exactly as I described it! Really nice. This really saves time when preparing my course!鈥

Knowledge about academic education

The Educational Database is intended for lecturers and anyone involved in or interested in academic education. The database contains basic knowledge about academic education and the results of innovations initiated by lecturers. You can use the Database as inspiration for your own education.
