Archaeological research on Cambridgelaan
On the Cambridgelaan in the Utrecht Science Park, archaeological research will be carried out in May on behalf of Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. It concerns the meadow between the student complexes Johanna and Cambridgelaan. A new student complex will be built at this location in the future. The research is part of the preparations for this new building which will start at the end of this year.
Trenches in the meadow
Earlier desk research and test drillings gave cause to further investigate whether archaeological remains are present in the soil at this location. Long strips of trenches are dug across the meadow. The soil that is released will be examined for archaeological remains. The trial trench investigation will start on 9 May. The fieldwork is expected to be completed on 18 May.
