The is in line with the NWO-challenge ‘Getting a grip on Complexity’ for the period 2015-2018. It is also a top sector-wide initiative that is in line with the Top Sector Agri&Food related to nutrition and health. In addition, the programme ties in with the research challenges identified in the document ‘Grip on Complexity’.
Researchers with an interest in computer science and/or mathematics cooperate and form consortia with private and/or (semi-)private partners. These partners contribute financially, at least 20% (10% in cash and 10% in kind). Complex systems research is an area that particularly demands a multidisciplinary approach.
