687 million euros for UtrechtInc startups in 2019
The startups from Utrecht-based incubator UtrechtInc have collectively raised 687 million euros in funding in 2019.
Similar to last year, this milestone is mainly thanks to recent investments in alumni Argen-X and GitLab. 2019's results bring the total of investments in UtrechtInc startups from 2009 - 2019 to 1.6 billion euros.
In ten years time, UtrechtInc has supported 217 startups, of which 64% is still active or was acquired. These startups have collectively created 2,560 jobs.
Incubator at Utrecht Science Park
Business incubator UtrechtInc supports entrepreneurs and researchers with an innovation to a successful company. During the validation programme, startups learn to understand their product, customer and business model in a few months’ time.
The programme offers workshops, activities for team building, affordable office and co-working spaces at Utrecht Science Park, mentorships and introductions to relevant partners and investors. Participating teams consist of at least one researcher, student or alumnus from Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ, Hogeschool Utrecht or UMC Utrecht.
