About the hosts

Hi, my name is Tom, and I'm from the UK! I was born in London and did my bachelor's degree in physics and mathematics in York (northern England). I'm currently in my second year studying for a master's degree in Climate Physics here in Utrecht. I'm also very involved with sports here and am a member of one of the three rowing clubs in the city, and if I'm not there or studying I'm usually working part time in a bar in the city centre.

Having been here for around 18 months now I have had time to settle in and sample different sides of the city, so hopefully I can help answer all of your questions about life as an international here!

My name is Valentina, I am 25 years old and doing a masters in Business Development and Entrepreneurship. I am an international student, I come from Bolivia and I am enjoying The Netherlands quite a lot, not only regarding my studies, but life in general. The Netherlands has a lot to offer and one can really learn a lot from the Dutch society: from their culture based on efficiency to their old traditions.

We are looking forward to see you online!
