About the hosts
My name is Daphna and I work at the International Office of Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ where I mostly deal with international admissions. I enjoy the international buzz at UU and believe that studying in an international environment has great benefits and leaves you with a lifetime of experiences that are priceless. Having studied abroad myself I also know the stress of having to find housing in a city where you don’t know your way around and where people do things very differently from what you are used to back home. That’s why I am here, together with Sara, to help you navigate your way towards a room…avoiding all those tall people on their bikes!
My name is Sara, I’m from Peru and I study the Bachelor of Economics & Business Economics at Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ. Initially, I came on exchange for one semester, but since I really liked the programme and the overall experience, I decided to enrol as a regular student. Besides my studies, I work as Student Ambassador for Housing Anywhere, to help students finding housing, because it can be quite challenging, especially at the beginning. I have heard many different experiences from other students and I also experienced it myself, so I’m very excited to tell you all about it. Now, I have been living in Utrecht for more than a year and it keeps being great!
