What I like about the programme, is that the courses take an interdisciplinary approach, incorporating different fields such as physics, morphology and ecology to give me a broad understanding of these systems.

When I followed the Earth Sciences Bachelor’s programme, I was fascinated by processes that shape our coasts. Because of this, the Master’s programme Earth Surface and Water was a perfect fit for me. I follow the track Coastal Dynamics and Fluvial Systems, which allows me to gain a deeper understanding of coastal and river environments.

What I like about the programme, is that the courses take an interdisciplinary approach, incorporating different fields such as physics, morphology and ecology to give me a broad understanding of these systems. In addition, my research skills, including programming, fieldwork, and data analysis, have all been developed and refined.

After my studies, I hope to use my skills and knowledge to work in a research or consulting role, where I can contribute to the understanding of coastal systems and help to find solutions to the challenges they face.
