Antisemitisme-gw-hum

"Anti-Semitic conspiracies are ubiquitous on Twitter and Facebook." Joris Veerbeek of the researched anti-Semitism on Twitter in collaboration with Dutch newspaper De Groene Amsterdammer. 1.3 million tweets sent in 2019 were analyzed for this study.

"Whether anti-Semitism has increased in absolute terms cannot be said with certainty. However, the visibility of anti-Semitism has increased in recent years. One explanation is the rise of the internet. Discriminatory statements that were previously only made among friends are now visible for everyone.

Increase in anti-Semitic hate speech

"Since the corona outbreak, anti-Semitic hate speech has increased alarmingly," the UN rapporteur on freedom of religion or belief said last month. "I am deeply concerned to see that certain religious leaders and politicians are abusing the pandemic to spread hatred of Jews and other minorities."

Economic crisis
