Research Data Management and Tooling
Course description
In this online, easily accessible English-spoken training tailored to (new) UMC Utrecht researchers, you will learn:
- how to get started with collecting, handling, preserving and sharing your research data
- what research tooling is available in UMC Utrecht
- where you can find research support.
This online training is intended to give the participants an overview of what research support is available at the UMC Utrecht.
We will cover the following topics: what is data?, what is metadata?, Data Management Plan (DMP), GDPR/AVG, structuring your research folder, version control, availability of software, reusing existing data, capturing new data, publishing and archiving your data. With the knowledge acquired, you will be able to get your project started more efficiently, saving you time, costs and frustration. No prior knowledge is needed.
