On 22 September, participants of the Nature's Narrative Writing Workshops will read from their work created during, inspired by, or in dialogue with the workshops.
Imagining and writing nature
This event will showcase the wonderful writing that has emerged from the discussions about how we imagine and write ‘nature’ during environmental crises. Presentations will range from poetry to prose and express the creativity and engagement that flourished during the workshops.
This programme features readings by Blanche Beijersbergen, Luka Hattuma, Ronja Kops and Nina Litsios (potgrond), Corianne Oosterbaan, Young Eun Park, Shupei Pan, and Andrew Spink. They will be joined by our special invited guest, Ruben Jacobs, sociologist, journalist, and author of Waar de bijen slapen (Thomas Rap, 2025).
The are a collaboration between the (ILFU) and the Network for Environmental Humanities (NEH) at Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ. The workshops were led by Mia You and Tom van Bunnik.
During each workshop, a writer, poet, or artist and an academic, both of whom are involved in nature, climate, and the environment, engaged in conversation. They talked about their work, discussed their practice and gave the workshop participants a writing assignment.
