The Klimaat Helpdesk aims to answer any questions people may have on climate change. These questions can range from the physics and geography of climate change, as well as its social, economical and psychological effects. Academics and experts will answer these questions. The Klimaat Helpdesk is a project of the Utrecht Young Academy in collaboration with . 

To celebrate the Klimaat Helpdesk, we will host a festive premiere on October 29. Various panelists will elaborate on the importance of accessible and reliable information on climate change, from the perspective of their expertise.

You are cordially invited to join the launch and be the first to get to know this new platform. The premiere will take place on Thursday October 29 from 4:30 - 6 pm via an . This event will be in Dutch. 

Speakers

  • Francien Peterse, climate scientist and member of the Utrecht Young Academy, will host the event. 
  • , expert in climate and energy, wil elaborate on the development of the Klimaat Helpdesk and its relevance to the public. 
  • , climate coach at KlimaatGesprekken, advisor and researcher on transition issues, will elaborate on the role of psychology and culture in making eco-friendly choices
  • , science journalist specialised in climate and Earth Science, talks about the role of journalism in scientific climate communication.
