Betweter Festival is here again! Your annual dose of science and art. Every room, corner and crack of the building will be filled with a quirky mix of talks, interviews, installations, film, music and live scientific research.

We look for footing in uncertain times, telling the stories behind the facts and asking the questions that matter. How do we rescue boys from the manosphere? Where is the line between war and peace? Should we leave AI to Microsoft, Amazon and Meta? Why should we revive extinct species? And how do we protect climate refugees?

Program

The first names for Betweter Festival have been announced! Historian Beatrice de Graaf and investigative journalist Huib Modderkolk guide us through times of permanent threat, rapper Elmer provokes with absurdist nederhop, journalist Simon van Teutem analyzes why idealistic students let themselves be seduced by consulting firms and banks, singer Meral Polat brings stories about resistance, struggle and solidarity, with his hammock designer Parker Hertzberger makes you feel music in every fiber of your body, and social researcher Floor Bontje takes her bicycles: are you a danger on the road? 

And of course, our own colleague, bioethicist Karin Jongsma, discusses the responsible use of medical AI.
