More‑Than‑Human‑Studies Lab
An initiative of the IOS Fair Transitions platform and led by Rick Dolphijn

The More‑Than‑Human‑Studies Lab is an initiative of the IOS Fair Transitions platform, offering a space to radically rethink sustainable development and reimagine our relationship with the contemporary earth. The Lab supports transdisciplinary creative research that spans the geosciences, social sciences, law, and the humanities, with particular attention to postcolonial, postfeminist, and posthuman perspectives. We focus on the margins: the global south, youth, and (forgotten) heritages — exploring how these can contribute to planetary health and just futures. Through this work, we invite dialogue across faculties at Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ and with communities of makers, artists, and international partners to ask: How can we transform our institutions and practices to guarantee safe, inclusive, and climate‑resilient landscapes and social‑ecological environments worldwide?
