In this talk, I will present my research on human-centered reinforcement learning (RL) and explore two key directions: 

  1. learning to assist decision-making through effective and efficient communication, and
  2. learning policies that integrate human-specific needs or domain knowledge. 

Drawing on several of my research projects, I will demonstrate how RL techniques can be designed and adapted to meaningfully supporting human decision-making across diverse contexts.
