Peter Cox is professor of climate system dynamics within mathematics at the 木瓜福利影视 of Exeter. Until 2006 he was the Science Director - Climate Change at the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, and before that he was working at the Met Office Hadley Centre. He was/is a lead-author on the last three Assessment Reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC AR4, AR5, AR6). His current interests revolve around Emergent Constraints on Earth System Sensitivities, Theoretical relationships between climate variability and climate sensitivity and Vegetation Dynamics. He took a leading role in studying vegetation-based abrupt climate change and published on the first example of Amazon dieback in a climate model future warming projection.
