Are you curious and enjoy thinking along with others? Great. Do you know absolutely nothing about AI, climate research, philosophy of science, or plant immune systems? Even better! We warmly invite you to join us on Monday, 15 December, at the Faculty Club to share your thoughts on the plans and prototypes of these researchers.

Strengthening the connection between science and society is a hot topic in the academic world. This year, ten young researchers from Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ’s Faculty of Science are taking part in the Public Engagement Academy, where they develop skills in science communication and immediately put them into practice by creating their own public activity based on their research.

An important step in the design process: test your activity. That’s where you come in: as our ‘test subject’ to help try out these fresh ideas.

Programme:  

17.30 – 17.45 uur: Arrival and welcome drink
17.45 – 19.15 uur: Pitches and demos
19.15 – 20.00 uur: Dinner of the day for EUR 17,50 
20.00 – 21.30 uur: Small-group discussions with the researchers
21.30 End of the evening

The participation fee for the Public Engagement Test Lab, including the dinner of the day, is €17.50 per person. Snacks are provided by the club, and drinks can be purchased at the bar during the evening.

The programme will be partially in English. Later this autumn, we will announce which researchers will be featured in the programme.
