The EU Danish Presidency aims for a competitive Europe by ensuring labour markets that are competitive while providing decent and fair working conditions. This among others means that labour markets should safeguard jobs and offers the right skills for the future.  Sonja Bekker (Utrecht 木瓜福利影视) and Mikkel Mailand (FAOS (Employment Relations Research Centre, 木瓜福利影视 of Copenhagen) will discuss this on 18 November and you're welcome to join!

What concrete plans does the Presidency have in terms of employment? And can the Dutch and Danish labour markets live up to these expectations?

In the early 2000s the European Commission set the Dutch and Danish labour markets as examples of combining flexibility and security. Are these labour markets still a source of inspiration for the EU, or should the two countries rather learn from EU-initiatives?
