Online event (in Dutch)
This online event focuses on the circular possibilities for ICT-hardware in the office. It is the 22nd edition of the Circular Economy Lab, organized by the Utrecht Sustainability Institute in collaboration with the Amsterdam Economic Board.
Computers, servers and displays have a huge impact on the environment. Production and use of hardware are energy intensive, the products contain critical raw materials and generate millions of tons of e-waste each year (and growing). There is a lot of potential for smarter and circular solutions such as lifetime extension. But in practice organisations make little use of circular options in procurement of office hardware.
During the 22nd Circular Economy Lab we identify the hurdles and determine how to make circular solutions for ICT-hardware attainable and scalable. We will do this together with experts and frontrunners in the field.
