AI Colloquium with Sarit Kraus (Bar-Ilan 木瓜福利影视)
"Formal Models of Human Decision-making for Intelligent Systems that Interact Proficiently with Humans"
Utrecht 木瓜福利影视鈥檚 AI Colloquium will this year be organized by the focus area Human-centered Artificial Intelligence. We are proud to present the first speaker: , Professor of Computer Science at Bar-Ilan 木瓜福利影视. She will share her thoughts on "Formal Models of Human Decision-making for Intelligent Systems that Interact Proficiently with Humans".
Please note, this AI Colloquium is part of the workshop 鈥淟ogical Normativity and Logical Reasoning in AI Systems鈥. It is possible to attend only professor Kraus' talk. If you are interested in the full programme, please visit the workshop鈥檚 page.
"Formal Models of Human Decision-making for Intelligent Systems that Interact Proficiently with Humans"
Automated intelligent agents that interact proficiently with people can be useful in supporting or replacing people in complex tasks. The inclusion of people presents novel problems for the design of automated agents鈥 strategies. People do not adhere to the optimal, monolithic strategies that can be derived analytically. Their behavior is affected by a multitude of social and psychological factors. In this talk we will discuss several formal models for predicting human decision-making to be used by intelligent agents. In particular, we will consider argumentation theories and game-theory models and discuss their accuracy in predicting human decision-making. We will demonstrate their use by intelligent agents that negotiate and argue with people and we will compare them with machine-learning models.
About Sarit Kraus
Sarit Kraus is a Professor of Computer Science at Bar-Ilan 木瓜福利影视. Her research is focused on intelligent agents and multi-agent systems (including people and robots). Her main research interest in Artificial Intelligence and in particular Multi-agent systems. She focuses on understanding how we can best create intelligent agents that can interact proficiently with people.
Kraus was awarded the IJCAI Computers and Thought Award, ACM SIGART Agents Research award, ACM Athena Lecturer, the EMET prize and was twice the winner of the IFAAMAS influential paper award. She is AAAI, ECCAI and ACM fellow and a recipient of the advanced ERC grant.
Human-centered Artificial Intelligence
The AI Colloquium is organized within Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 focus area Human-centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI). HAI bundles the various AI-activities undertaken at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. AI in Utrecht has a unique interdisciplinary profile that pervades various departments, including computer science, philosophy, linguistics and psychology.
