The Blackboard system is accessible to staff and students; you can log in with your Solis-ID and password. There are also  available on how to use Blackboard.

Blackboard is a virtual learning environment (VLE). It is used by lecturers as a useful tool to support their teaching online. A VLE has been specifically designed for distance learning. Interactive teaching materials as well as communication tools invite students to actively participate in the learning process. Blackboard offers a wide range of collaboration tools which challenge students to expand their knowledge. Real life learning situations help students to grasp the course contents.

Depending on the faculty where the course will be taught you can contact:

• UMCU - Get a Solis-ID for teachers via  of the UMC Utrecht. Ask the Blackboard coordinator to give you designer-rights for your course by sending an email to blackboard@umcutrecht.nl.
• Science Faculty - send an email to Science.Blackboard@uu.nl.
