Get my course evaluated
All Master鈥檚 courses of the Graduate School of Life Sciences are evaluated using standard evaluation forms. The procedure for Master鈥檚 courses is as follows:
- The quality assurance officer will contact you (the course coordinator) by email some time before the course is finished. The officer will ask you to critically check the evaluation form and to indicate whether questions need to be changed, removed or added. Furthermore, you will need to indicate the number of participants of the course.
- The quality assurance officer will send enough copies of the evaluation forms to you by regular mail. For most courses, the best moment to evaluate the course is right after the final examination. If courses do not have a final examination, it is important to find another moment at the end of the course when all students are present, to have the students fill in the evaluation form.
- The course coordinator will let the students fill in the form, collect the evaluation forms, and return them to the quality assurance officer.
- The quality assurance officer will process the evaluation forms and make an evaluation report. The officer will send the evaluation report, together with a feedback form, to the course coordinator.
- The course coordinator is responsible for distributing the evaluation results amongst the teachers that have participated in the course.
- The course coordinator receives the results and is asked to fill in the feedback form and return it to the quality assurance officer.
- The education committee carefully looks at the evaluation results and the feedback form, so it is very important that you will out the feedback form!
The quality assurance officer depends on which Faculty organises the relevant Master鈥檚 programme (see Contact).
- The quality assurance officer of UMC Utrecht (Biomedical Sciences) is Petra Simon.
- The quality assurance officer of the Faculty of Science (Biological, Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences) is Flaviana de Windt.
- Faculty of Veterinary Sciences: please contact infobms@umcutrecht.nl or contact the Education Office of your Faculty.
