Courses offered on equality, diversity and inclusion
Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 believes that diversity of students and employees enriches the academic debate and that everyone deserves equal opportunities. The university aims to make everyone feel welcome and valued. To stimulate this, they organise several courses on equality, diversity and inclusion for staff and students throughout the year.
GSLS PhD candidates can follow the courses on equality, diversity and inclusion that are offered through the Development Guide, for which you need a Solis-ID. The courses focus on topics such as unconscious biases, dealing with undesirable behaviour, and intercultural collaboration.
A few of the courses that are on offer can be found below.
Inclusion and social safety training
Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 stands for a socially safe and inclusive work environment. How do you personally contribute to that? And how can you, as a team, discuss your cooperation and interactions with one another. How do you have a constructive conversation about what is desirable or undesirable behaviour? This training will provide you with methods to discuss social safety and how everyone can contribute. But you will also reflect on how inclusive your team is.
Intercultural Competences: dealing with cultural perspectives at work
Communicating with students or colleagues and contacts outside of UU with different cultural backgrounds can sometimes turn out differently than you would have expected. Something that is self-evident to one, may not be so to another and could lead to wrongful interpretations. In this training you will learn to recognize situations and deal with them better.
